Job Description

The IT/Technical Quality Assurance / Automation Analyst will participate in requirements gathering sessions, providing constructive feedback on testability from an assurance perspective, ensuring technical feasibility and quality releases. In this role you will be required to review and comprehend requirements, specifications, and technical design documents. 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive and well-structured test strategies, test plans, test cases.
  • Effectively analyze software and system components, yielding constructive feedback to identify discrepancies, defects, risks, and improvement areas.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track defects in an informative manner to assist in decision making.
  • Manage and monitor defects during debugging process. Perform thorough regression once defects are resolved. Participate in triaging of defects, providing insight to drive decisions and estimates of timeframes needed to complete tasks.

Required Experience and Skills/Education:
  • Bachelor' s degree in business technology, computer science, software engineering, or business administration required.
  • Minimum (2) two years of application/software QA testing or software development experience
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, and associated development/testing processes (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Experience in use case modeling and process modeling techniques required. Strong information technology skills, understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance principals.
  • Current knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, program language(s) and tools, testing techniques and tools, and program specification and interpretation is required.
  • Working knowledge of systems design, testing, analysis tools and techniques.
  • Ability to develop and execute manual and automated testing strategies, testing plans, and test cases required.
  • Willingness to participate in software quality assurance and insurance training classes required. 

Nice to Have Experience:
  • Experience in insurance domain is preferred.
  • Experience in technologies such as SQL, XML, scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, etc.), and automation preferred.
  • Certification in quality assurance or testing methodologies preferred.
